Dr Zakir Naik's Visit to Sri Lanka

Dr Zakir Naik long awaited visit to Sri Lanka is confirmed for 23^rd May 2010 at the Sugathadasa Outdoor Stadium and will be humbly welcomed by the world religious groups as well as the Muslim community of Sri Lanka. Dr Zakir Naik is a renowned Muslim Public speaker and writer of Islam and comparative religions and is a Medical Doctor by profession.

Dr Zakir Naik is the president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) which is a non profit organization which has its own successful television channel called Peace TV which is televised globally around the world.

Dr Zakir Naik’s inspiration in becoming a public speaker on Islam derived from watching the Late Ahmad Deedat who was also a successful Islamic orator and gave many lectures on Islam. Naik aims to remove misconceptions about Islam and Muslim that exist in society today and believe that it is a duty of every Muslim to aid in removing the misconceptions that people may have about Islam.  The Indian Express voted Dr Zakir Naik as the one of the 100 most powerful Indians in 2009 and his lectures have become increasingly inspiring and educational for both Muslims and non –Muslims alike.
